I really enjoyed a conversation I had with one of my photographer friends today. It’s something I’ve understood, or heard, at least, but has never been brought to my attention in such a way. In photography classes, school, etc. they teach you to only take sexist pictures.
It’s not “This will make your pictures good.” it’s “If you don’t do this, your pictures will look like shit and no one will like them. Everyone does this.”

Basically, you’re only supposed to take ideal pictures of men and women. With women, you’re supposed to avoid taking them from straight on because it A.) hides their possible double-chin and B.) softens their jaw line. You’re also supposed to instruct the subject to appropriately position their shoulders to make them seem softer and to accent their boobs.
The same is the opposite for men, strong shoulders, strong jaw line, etc.

This whole concept just pisses me off.

After my experiences this week, I have learned to ALWAYS used protection. It only takes one time for the deed to be done. I didn’t listen to my parents and I didn’t use protection with my best friend because it was on my fucking bucket list to lose my virginity. No matter what the case is, use protection, at least while you’re still in school. 

That’s an extremely specific ‘bucket list’ you have, there. Could you enlighten us with some of the other itemized activities?
I think it’s safe to tell us, even if you’re still in school.
